Unappealing work can be soul destroying. Fortunately there are some great college jobs that will keep your brain working and provide negligible wear and tear on the yawn muscle. Read on to find some great college jobs that will make work less of a chore.
Library assistant
Who could possibly get bored in a library? Spend your days among some of the most exciting writings and ideas of all time. If no one is noticing you might even be able to stick your own head in a book.

Professor’s assistant
This type of job really does deserve to fit in the league of great college jobs. You are basically being given a salary to do well in your degree. Sweating it out in this type of job is almost sure to mean that you will learn a lot; you may be asked to grade assignments and this is a great way to revise. If the most terrible happens, you might still be able to achieve a close relationship with the professor. Being the teacher’s pet is never boring.

IT department
Now we’re talking. If you love computers then there will never be a dull moment with these great college jobs. Getting money for spending time with other geeks is some people’s idea of heaven.

Desk attendant
This is where you get to practice maintaining law and order in a college dorm. You probably won’t get a gun and handcuffs, but you do get to tell people off for returning to the dorm late at night – if you desire. Watching the shenanigans of your fellow students from a position of authority makes this one of the great college jobs – it also implies fun!

Detective
You may be able to pick up some part-time detective work at a local agency. Occasionally this business provides young students with exciting entry college jobs. Many detectives are ex- police but they can also sometimes use a young looking face. Operating as a detective will not only perhaps be exhilarating, but it will make you appear interesting to other people.

Doing something you like is never going to be boring. If you have some skills, then why not see if you can monetize them. If you know a foreign language, then somebody might be interested in learning it. If you have the art of massage on your side, you could get paid for this. Great college jobs are those where work doesn’t really feel like a chore.
